Like everyone else, I watched "The Social Network" while munching popcorn and sipping coca-cola. It is a gorgeous movie, Fincher completed another masterpiece. Young actors did awesome job, the whole story is in total harmony, it carried me from beginning to the end.
Like "a thousand readers have 1000 Hamlet", people's takeaways of the movie are for sure different. Some see it as 'Facebook' movie, talking about how Zuckerberg started Facebook & make money; some see it as a story of friendship, ambition and betrayal; some see it as just a normal movie, catching up with the others...I admit that I learned a lot from it, about everything mentioned above. Zucherberg might has many personal flaws, like everyone else. However Facebook is such a success...like the tagline of the movie "You don't get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies.'
Now more than half billion people living on Facebook, it has become the new 3rd biggest country in the world. With all these detailed information in the data base, there is huge potential for applications and the opportunity to build a business that is highly relevant to people’s lives...many companies have done that...
I am so excited to see companies leverage FB platform to engage with consumers, as most social media, we learn as we do, as we grow. What a breathtaking age that we live in!
