Grumpy customer, Bank, CRM

I admit these days, if I can solve any banking easily online, I won't want to go to any of the branches to get my ticket and wait my number to be called.

I admit that it is kinda of difficult for bank employees to have the opportunities to cross sell or upsell any products or services to me since I don't talk to them.

I admit it's not easy to sell something to someone who don't want them.

BUT why don't you sell something that people want?

I got the phone call for the 3rd time from Sxx bank to sell me life insurance. The lady told me that I may die one day so it's better to pay them every month and get ready to leave some benefit to someone that I love.

I am not happy. Not because that they said I would die which I am already aware. It's because they didn't know what I really want nor I really need. I used to call them asking for content insurance, etc. However, no one followed up with me on those matters. What did they do with their $$$ CRM system? Didn't my data show on their screen? I thought they claimed that they were customer centric...

Maybe it is successful since it makes billions every year.

Maybe I am just a grumpy customer.

I am confused.
